The following tasks await you:
- Identification of potential new suppliers and maintenance of existing supplier relationships
- Identification and implementation of cost reduction potentials
- Conducting price and condition negotiations with suppliers
- Preparation of purchasing statistics as well as demand and cost analyses
- Ensuring material availability for critical components
- Participation in VAVE and Make or Buy projects
- Supervision of CIP initiatives for the optimisation of purchasing processes
- Supporting operational purchasing in clarifying and eliminating supply bottlenecks
You have the following profile:
- Completed technical or economic studies
- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing industry (mechanical engineering)
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Very good technical understanding
- Knowledge in dealing with ERP systems, Microsoft Navision knowledge an advantage
- Experienced handling of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Negotiating skills as well as self-motivated and independent way of working
- Willingness to travel
